Here’s the thing. I’ve been blogging for an year and a half now. I used to blog at Shameeka’s Fictional World before I decided that I had to revamp my blog completely. I wasn’t satisfied with the theme or the presentation. I didn’t have the heart to completely shut it down since it has over a hundred of my posts. So, I decided to start a new blog and make it my primary blog. You guys are free to go to my old blog and see how much of a difference this new one has. I collected different ideas from different blogs, penned down my own ideas of how a blog should look, tried to create my own identity and that’s how this blog was born.
I made a pretty bold decision by switching blogs.. I mean, after I built such a huge blog only to abandon it and start from the scratch..it was a tough decision to make. Here’s what I wish to say to bloggers as a whole:
If you got to make a decision, you got to make it. Every post, every idea is an experiment. You shouldn’t hesitate to try new things and figure out what your identity is. Try to make your posts, animations and appearance as unique as possible. At the same time, don’t pressurize yourself to compete with those more amazing blogs out there or compare your blog with others’. Take your own sweet time to figure out what your element is! No pressure!

Solid advice! I did the same thing where I started a blog but wanted to start from scratch but so far the new more unique name has served me well. I am still playing and trying to figure out my “element” but I think it’s going well so far.

Ohmygosh, I think BOTH your blogs look absolutely fantastic!! LOVE the way they just..sparkle! 🙂 Great advice as well btw. Everyone should find their own identity instead of just doing exactly what everybody else does. And it sure made your blog stand out :). Thanks for the nomination! ❤

Thank you for the nomination! 🙂 I didn’t know about your other blog. I think both a great! I love the advice about taking your time and seeing what works for you. I completely agree. I’m still trying to figure out how I want my blog to look. Also, blogging with another person throws in a whole new aspect. It’s a learning process but super fun. Thanks again!
