#1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover returns with a new heart-wrenching love story.
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn’t think it’s love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.
Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.
They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.
Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.
When I first saw this book..
I was like “Woo!! Another Colleen Hoover book!! I can’t wait!!”…
But when I read the book..
I was disappointed.
I loved all of Colleen Hoover’s books- they had something different in them.
But Ugly Love disappointed me.
Miles is a pilot. And Tate is a nurse, who has moved in with her brother, who’s a pilot too.
Some reasons why I hated this book….
I’ve read this in so many books, but I didn’t except the same to appear again in Colleen Hoover’s book.
It was the usual crap where the guy is scared to love because of his past.
The parts of the book that talked about Miles and his relationship with Rachel were bland and didn’t reflect any feelings. I was literally waiting for those parts to get over.
When, I was halfway through the book, I thought of giving up. But no- I hoped something would change and make this book better.
So, Miles’ mother died when he was sixteen. Sometime after her death, his dad announces that he is in love with Lisa.
Meanwhile, Miles meets Rachel. Oh God, there’s that whole thing with her.
I never hated the name RACHEL until I read that!
Turns out Rachel is Lisa’s daughter and so, they move in together.
They fall in love with each other. Rachel gets pregnant and this is followed by some unfortunate events that break Miles’ heart and make him incapable of love again.
Tate wasn’t like any of Colleen Hoover’s other heroines. In fact, she was very irritating.
I couldn’t help but laugh. It was so funny. And irritating.
So, like this, whatever he says becomes her new favourite word.
Tate and Miles are instantly attracted to each other.
Miles wants to have a purely sexual relationship with Tate and nothing more.
And she freaking agrees.
Tate falls in love with Miles.. And Miles hates it.. (BLAH..BLA..YADDA..YADDA)
Finally, Miles meets Rachel and sorts his shit out.
And then, it’s happily ever after- with Tate, of course!
Very very disappointing. I can easily compare this story with the storyline of Fifty Shades Of Grey and all the other crappy books out there.
Sorry, but I still can’t accept the fact that Colleen Hoover wrote this.
What did you guys feel about this one?
